MDA MA Rouyn-Noranda

The Maison des aînés and alternative housing facility in Rouyn-Noranda is a flagship project aimed at improving long-term care and housing in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Inaugurated in November 2024, it welcomed its first residents into an environment designed to promote autonomy, dignity, and quality of life. This new housing and long-term care concept aims to create living environments that closely resemble the residential life familiar to elderly individuals and those experiencing significant loss of autonomy who reside there.

48 spaces are distributed across 4 households of 12 people each, with individual bedrooms and adapted bathrooms with toilet and shower. The concrete building is LEED-certified, ensuring best practices in sustainable development. This project embodies an innovative and inclusive vision, contributing to the quality of care and well-being of residents.
