Fournier Multisport Center

The Fournier Multisport Center is connected to the Polyvalente Le Carrefour in Val-d'Or. A contemporary architectural treatment was chosen for the new complex, it harmonizes with the existing building in its materials and colors. The concept proposes a juxtaposition of two monolithic blocks, with the largest housing the sports facilities.

That mass received a uniform and understated treatment, while a glazed opening in the envelope lends the side façade greater interest. The architectural treatment of the second mass, home to the gymnastics floor, focuses mainly on the main façade. The facilities receive easily regulated levels of natural light.
