Vallée-de-l’Or public market

Located in downtown Val-d’Or, the public market consists of a permanent wooden structure and a connecting service building supported by a glulam structure, the wide roof provides shelter for some 20 vendors during the summer and at harvest time. The covered section includes a wide corridor that runs the length of the building, a multipurpose space and associated services.

Thanks to its distinctive form and the generous use of wood, the structure is a signpost for the public market and is a worthy addition to the architectural heritage of the city of Val-d’Or and the entire Vallée-de-l’Or region.
